Text Chat Meetings
Since 1997, Sabbath meetings have been hosted every week in the chat room. The chat room has been a continual source of fellowship for my family and I, as well as those who have no fellowship in their local area. One blessing of holding meetings in a text chat room is that the scriptures are quoted in the room where everyone can read them. Also, there are various functions in the room such as the ability to search the scriptures, look up the Strong's Hebrew/Greek lexicon entries and have a random scripture quoted to you (Read more about these functions here). Another nice thing about the text chat meetings that Sabbath meeting transcripts are available for download and printing as soon as the meeting is over. Text chat meetings will continue in addition to the audio broadcast meetings described below. No special software is usually required to access the chat room but you must have Java installed. Also, text chat meetings are greatly enhanced if you download mIRC to access the meetings.
Live Audio Broadcast
Meetings
The one disadvantage of holding meetings in a text chat room
is that some have difficulty keeping up with the flow of text in the room, while
others who are fast readers feel that it moves at a snail's pace. With RealAudio
there is the capability for listening to a live internet broadcast. Since
06/2006 I've been doing weekly audio meetings using RealAudio's live broadcasting
feature. Everyone still meets in the chat
room so that participants can make comments, ask questions or request
prayer. Musical praise to Yahweh will also be included as part of the
meeting. A dial up internet connection is all that's needed, broadband
is not required.
Regular text chat meetings will continue be held on "friday" (Shabbat) evenings at 9pm ET as I have in the past, but the same scripture study will be shared again the following day at Noon ET using RealAudio broadcasting. With the audio broadcasts, I do go into little more detail on various subjects as compared to the regular text chat meetings. Also, with the audio meetings participants will be able to call in with questions or comments.
A few test meetings will be done to start with before the meetings are made an official weekly event. Also, there may be times when I'm away from home on ministry when I may not be able to have an audio meeting. The audio broadcasting requires me to have a broadband internet connection. Any changes will be announced in advance. For the first meeting, the schedule will be as follows:

Audio broadcast meetings
require a program that can play RealAudio streaming files. If you do not
have RealPlayer already installed: |
The audio meetings will not be a grandiose production. I'm just a fellow
disciple of Yahushua with a few things to share and don't see the need to
imitate Hollywood.
Honoring Yahweh and seeking His ways will be the focus of the meetings.
Required Downloads
To listen to the audio broadcast meetings, you'll need a special program which enables you to hear the audio. If you already have RealPlayer, you already have what you need to access the live audio meetings. Simply click here during the meeting hours and you'll be able to hear the broadcast.
If
you do not have RealPlayer installed on your computer, you can click
here to download RealAlternative, a free program that plays RealAudio content but without the
invasive (and often vile) features of RealPlayer. If you already have RealPlayer and want to
install this program instead, it will ask you to uninstall RealPlayer before
installing it.
If you still prefer to use the regular RealPlayer, click
here to download it.
